Garlic Shrimp

Garlic Shrimp

When I am deciding whether a recipe is worth keeping, I ask if I would gladly serve it again; with Garlic Shrimp, the answer is yes. A dependable main course is worth its weight in gold, especially when family or friends are hungry. There is something comforting about letting the oven take over while the table comes together.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb shrimp deveined tail on
  • 4 tbs butter
  • 5-6 cloves, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp chili pepper
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • Basil oil (optional)
  • Chives

Instructions

  1. Arrange the shrimp in a baking dish.
  2. Preheat oven to 400F.
  3. In a pot cook 4 tablespoons of butter, garlic, spices and lemon until fragrant then hit the sauce with the juice of 1 lime let cook for 10 seconds and turn off the heat.
  4. Spoon the sauce on top of the shrimp. Bake in the oven until the shrimp changes color.
  5. Top with basil oil and chives and serve with toasted baguette.

Notes

  • I’ve shared how to make basil oil before I will link in my story. If you can make some, it really adds to the flavor! you can also substitute with any other finishing oil like parsley oil, or chili oil.
