Garlic Confit Toast Idea

Garlic Confit Toast Idea

This recipe is for all the garlic lovers out there. Garlic confit is very delicate and full of flavor, not as strong as raw or fried garlic. The slow cooking brings out an unusual flavor, I can’t really describe it! With its buttery texture and flavor, it’s great on its own, on a piece of toast, or like the idea I have for you. Hope you enjoy, and get to try it 😊

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Peel about three heads of garlic or however much you want. In a small deep baking dish add fresh thyme or rosemary, that will lend a great flavor to the confit. Make sure to place it in the bottom so it doesn’t burn, add the garlic and extra virgin olive oil ( the good kind ) enough to cover it. Place in a 200 F preheated oven and let cook for two hours. No need to stir just let it cook slowly. Raise the temperature to 250 F and let it cook for another 30 minutes, it should be golden in color, once it’s cooled pour it in a clean dry airtight jar. And there you have it the best confit ever.
