Ingredients
- 🥬 1 lb ground chicken
- 🥬 3 cloves garlic minced
- 🥬 1 tbs ginger minced
- 🥬 1 (8-ounce) can water chestnut chopped fine
- 🥬 2-3 shredded carrots
- 🥬 1 (8-ounce) white or crimini mushrooms chopped
- 🥬 1 head of butter lettuce
- 🥬 2-3 green onions
- 🥬 2 tbs vegetable oil
Cooking sauce
- 3-5 tbs hoisin sauce
- 2 tbs rice wine vinegar
- 2 tbs soy sauce
Instructions
- A mix of hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, chili sauce and soy sauce.
- 1- mix the cooking sauce and set aside.
- 2- in a pan heat 1 tbs vegetable oil add 1 pound of ground chicken, cook half way making sure to break the meat as your stirring so is doesn’t clump. Add 1 tablespoon of ginger and 3 cloves of garlic, continue on cooking until no longer pink. Remove from the pan and set in a separate plate.
- 3- add the second tbs of vegetable oil to the pan, add the vegetables and sauté on high for 1 minute, add the chicken back to the pan, add the sauce, cook until incorporated.
- 4- spoon the mixture inside the lettuce leaves add the dipping sauce, garish with 2-3 green onions and enjoy!
