Move over grenadine (a mocktail made with 7up and pomegranate syrup), come on in, cranberry elixir mocktail, so vibrant and delicious with a hint of citrus. I honestly had this recipe in my drafts for a while, and I thought it wasn’t worthy of releasing, but then I thought, why not, what have I got to lose. I’m always trying to create non-alcoholic drinks that are interesting yet satisfying to the palate (halal-ified), so I came up with this drink that I sure do hope you find as delicious as I did ☺️
Ingredients
- 12 ounce fresh cranberry
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 stick cinnamon
Instructions
- Make the cranberry sauce, make sure it’s thickened and refrigerate overnight. In a 16 ounce glass add 2 tsp cranberry sauce, quartered slices of orange and lime, using a cocktail muddler smash the cranberry sauce with the citrus add 1/2 cup of carbonated water choose any berry or lime flavor add and stir. Serve over ice and enjoy.
- You can also strain the drink if you like, but I liked getting those bits of cranberries and tasting them.
