I missed making a salad, so I decided to make one today. I had a few pears and decided to make a roasted warm pear salad, and I’m telling you, the hot honey pairs so well with the warm pears. It was absolutely delicious. I hope you get to try it, and don’t forget to tag and share.
Ingredients
- 2 pear halved and cored (d’Anjou)
- 2 radicchio quartered
- Mixed greens
- Pomegranate seeds
- Olive oil for brushing
- Salt and pepper
- Gorgonzola cheese
Dressing
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- Hot honey
- Honey+chili pepper flakes heated
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 F.
- Brush the pear halves with 1/3 cup of olive oil, black pepper and salt, using a cast iron skillet have the pears face down. Roast on medium heat on top of the stove for a couple of minutes until they get a bit of color, flip the pear and transfer to the oven to finish cooking. Time it for 10 minutes after 8 minutes flip the pears back again face down for two minutes to finish caramelizing.
- In the meantime assemble the salad top with the dressing, once the pear is out of the oven let cool slightly and transfer on top of the salad dollop the centers with pieces of Gorgonzola cheese and drizzle with hot honey. Enjoy 😊.
