
Yay or nay? Perfect for this weekend, and couldn’t be simpler alongside steak, chicken, or seafood. Yum 😋
Ingredients
- 1 French roll cut in half
- 1 whole head garlic (roasted)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- A handful of chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper
- 10 ounce Bella mushrooms chopped
- 2 tbs. Butter unsalted
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. Chili pepper, salt and pepper, 3/4 tbs oregano
- Fresh mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. trim the top of the garlic, drizzle with olive oil, sea salt. Place on a peace of foil, close like a parcel and bake for 50 minutes.
- Add the roasted garlic to the butter, salt and pepper and parsley mix into a spread.
- Spread the butter evenly on both halves of the French roll and set aside.
- In a frying pan melt the butter and olive oil add 1/2 teaspoon of chili pepper and cook for 30 seconds to infuse the oil, add the mushrooms, salt and pepper cook for 30 seconds on medium heat add the oregano an finish cooking on high until the liquids evaporate.
- Spoon the mixture on top of buttered rolls.
- Layer the slices of cheese on top.
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Place the bread on parchment lined tray and cover loosely with foil forming a dome like.
- Bake for 8 minutes uncover and pop under the broiler for 4 minutes if you own a torch you can toast even further (optional) 👌🏼 top with chives and serve.
