After years of cooking for people I love, I know a keeper when I see one; Muhammara belongs in that category. I like appetizers that feel generous and unfussy, with everyone helping themselves as they talk. Keep this recipe nearby; the good ones have a habit of being requested again.

- 3 bell peppers, roasted
- 3-4 cloves garlic, roasted
- 1 cup toasted walnuts, toasted
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon cumin

- 4 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- 1 tablespoon pepper paste
- Salt and black pepper to taste
