It’s kind of a no recipe recipe, that’s why I always make it, I don’t even have to think about it! A no brainer, as one might say.
Ingredients
Instructions
- For the za’atar crostini preheat oven to 375 F. Bake, line a baking sheet with parchment paper cut a baguette 🥖 on the diagonal place on the baking sheet brush generously with olive oil and top with za’atar bake on the middle rack until golden.
- For the fried tomatoes, peel the tomatoes and cut any way you like I used 4 tomatoes, 10 cloves garlic (sliced), 1 jalapeño (sliced).
- Add a generous amount of olive oil to a frying pan add the garlic and jalapeño while the olive oil is still cold turn on the heat and cook so the oil can get fragrant without burning the garlic it’s a few seconds really!! Add the tomatoes and sprinkle salt, cook on medium heat uncovered stirring occasionally until cooked through. You can always add oil if you need more, serve on top of the za’atar crostini while it’s hot let the crostini absorb the sauce and enjoy.
Notes
- If your tomatoes start to splatter cover slightly with a led until it calms down then uncover other wise it we’ll be over cooked.
