Ingredients
- 4 cups thawed frozen corn
- 1 stick butter 1/2 cup
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tbs granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup turbinado sugar
- I used a torch but you can easily make this under the broiler!
Instructions
- Preheat broiler on high and place rack 6 inch under. Prepare a 9 inch skillet or ramekins.
- In a sauce pan melt the butter add the flour and cook until toasty and fragrant.
- Add 2 cups of heavy cream slowly while whisking, keep cooking until it bubbles, stir in 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the corn and cook for 2 minutes making sure all the corn is coated with the sauce. Adjust your salt and pepper.
- Place the corn in your prepared dishes and broil until golden. Serve immediately.
