
There is something especially satisfying about making Blackberry Berry Jam and bringing it to the table. I have always believed the dessert table should feel joyful, and this one understands the assignment. Make it your own where the recipe allows, then pass the plate around generously.
Ingredients
BlackBerry berry jam
- Blackberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 1 tbs water
Dough
- 450g bread flour
- 75g sugar
- 7g yeast
- 9g salt
- 70g egg (1 m. Egg + 1egg yolk)
- 265g warm milk
- 45g soft butter
Cheesecake filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 50g sugar
- 40g sour cream
- 1 egg, room temperature
- Vanilla extract
- 2 tbs flour
Struesel Crumble
- 30g melted butter
- 70g flour
- 10g sugar
Instructions
- Cook everything together until thickened if it doesn’t thicken make a slurry 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tsp water.
- Mix all the ingredients together except for the butter, once the dough comes together and smooth add the butter it will be a sticky dough. Let rest until doubled in size about 2 hrs.
- Whisk everything together until smooth and keep chilled in the fridge.
- Whisk 1 egg with 2 tbs milk.
- Preheat oven to 350 F, cut the dough in 6-8 equal balls press down the middle with a spoon, fill with 8 ounces of cream cheese then top with the blackberry jam and sprinkle with struesel.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
