Every cook needs a few recipes that make the table feel cared for, and Banana Pudding is a delicious place to begin. A dessert like this is exactly why I always save room for something sweet. Keep this one close for the days when time is short but a good meal still matters.

- 8 ounce cream cheese, room temperature
- 14 ounce can condensed milk
- 5 ounce instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
- 11 ounce box vanilla wafers
- 5-7 bananas peeled and sliced
- If you can’t find dream whip substitute with 8 ounce whipped topping, omit 1/2 cup milk

- In a large bowl beat 8 ounces of cream cheese until creamy, add the condensed milk, vanilla instant pudding and milk beat until thickened ( 4 minutes) add half of the dream whip and stir until incorporated.
- In a trifle dish or any deep round dish you will start layering dividing evenly thing in 1/3.
- Start with a layer of the vanilla wafers then top with 5-7 sliced bananas, after with the cream. Continue until you have 3 layers.
- Top with the rest of the dream whip.
- Cover with a plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 24- 48 hours to set and for the wafers to soften.
- I like to crumble some wafers and use for topping with caramel sauce.
