
Arayes kofta is a simple, satisfying dish thatโs always worth making.
Ingredients
- ๐ผ 5 lb beef I used a mix of tri tip, top sirloin and chuck
- ๐ผ 8 spring onions
- ๐ผ 1 1/2 bunch of Italian parsley
- ๐ผ 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- ๐ผ 1 tbs salt
- ๐ผ 3/4 tsp seven spices
- ๐ผ 1 tsp black pepper
- ๐ผ 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- ๐ผ hand full mint leaves
Instructions
- Whatโs better than ground kofta enveloped inside a pita bread, and yes Iโm saying enveloped !! With the most juicy, tender meat mince, toasted to perfection. The smell, the texture, the flavors they all come together in one bite yum ๐ ๐. I prefer baking it in the oven, you can also grill on an open fire or on grill.
- ๐ผ 1 pack pita bread cut in half to make pockets.
- ๐ผ light olive oil to brush on the baking sheet.
- ๐ผ pomegranate molasses.
- ๐ผ fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.
- Grind the meat with the vegetables alternating. Once on coarse, add the spices mix well and grind once more on fine, add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil mix well and your kofta is ready.
- Make the Arayes as you see in the reel. Bake in a preheated oven at 450 F.
- Once browned on one side flip on the other side and bake until golden on both sides.
- Enjoy with pomegranate molasses, fresh mint, tomato and cucumber. You can also eat it with a side of yogurt.
