Let’s start this week with an easy recipe that anybody can make. You can also have your children help, it’s a great activity for them and a fun way to introduce them to greens, so they’re more likely to eat them. Great for a late snack or a side.
Ingredients
- Artisan select sourdough bread
- Your favorite marinara sauce
- Broccoli florets
- 1 white squash cut in half then sliced
- Green or black olives sliced
- Olive oil
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Ranch dressing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Cut the bread in half and scoop out the inside of the bead. Drizzle generously with olive oil spoon the marinara sauce add the vegetables, drizzle with more olive oil salt and black pepper, add as much cheese as your heart desires. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet cover loosely with foil and bake in the oven on the middle rack for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and pop under the broiler to get some color (watch carefully as it should broil quickly).
- Sprinkle with chives and enjoy with ranch dressing it’s super delicious and easy.
- A quick Pizza with out the fuss.
Notes
- You can add any vegetables you like, (be creative) I just preferred to make it all green.
- The broccoli will have a bit of a bite so if you don’t like that you can blanch ahead of time just make sure to dry.
